Christophe Garcia
Concept, choreography and direction
Initially trained as a dancer, with a background in theater and music, Christophe Garcia soon turned his attention to choreography. He attended the École Rudra Béjart before joining the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 1998. He went on to work as a performer with a number of leading artistic figures, including Robert Wilson, Robert Lepage and Cas Public. Driven by a strong creative drive, Christophe founded his own company, La Parenthèse, in 2000. The recipient of several international choreography awards, he is regularly invited to create for international companies and major musical institutions (Béjart Ballet, Scapino Ballet, Ballet d'Europe, national operas and orchestras...). Since 2016, Christophe has been associated with the Pôle National Supérieur de Danse de Cannes-Mougins.
Alexandra Damiani

Appointed Artistic Director of Ballets Jazz Montréal in spring 2021, Alexandra Damiani has been a major figure in the dance world for over two decades. During her 10 years as Ballet Mistress and then Artistic Director of New York's Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet (2005-2015), she had the opportunity to work with and present a wide selection of contemporary dance languages by internationally renowned choreographers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Crystal Pite and Hofesh Schecter. Damiani has also represented the company at major international festivals and cities. A multidisciplinary artist, she notably played the role of Ballet Mistress in Darren Aronofsky's cult film Black Swan, and also worked with Tanisha Scott on Cardi B's performance for the 2019 BET Awards.
